OUR MISSION
Our goal is to provide a multi-tiered system of framework and relational approach, establishing the social culture and behavioral supports necessary for schools to be safe, caring, and provide an effective learning environment for all.
OUR EMERGENCE
In 2011, our founder took his commitment to the next level by creating an innovative prevention, leadership, and intervention curriculum designed for peer advocacy. This curriculum laid the groundwork for the Restorative Justice League, a revolutionary concept piloted in 2012/13.
The league brought together a panel/circle team of 12 students, providing a safe space for them to share their voices, views, and opinions without fear of judgment or shame. The initiative has since evolved into the Restorative Justice League Conference, a transformative event that has equipped thousands of middle school, high school, and college-aged youth with panel and circle practices, among other positive alternative activities.
We believe in the power of peacemaking to bring forgiveness, restoration, and justice. Through the Restorative Justice League, we are committed to helping individuals and communities find a path toward healing, understanding, and reconciliation. Our vision is to create a world where meaningful dialogue replaces conflict and where people can move forward together.
Why We Do What We Do
We believe every student deserves to be heard, understood, and given an opportunity to succeed.
We do what we do because too many students in underserved communities face challenges that can push them out of the classroom and toward the school-to-prison pipeline. We believe there is another way.
The Restorative Justice League creates a safe space where students can use their voices, share their experiences, and work through conflict without judgment or shame. Through restorative circles, open dialogue, accountability, and understanding, we help students learn how to resolve conflict, rebuild relationships, and make positive choices.
